Description

Water-based acrylic paint with a slightly grainy texture that allows magnets to stick to walls, furniture and non-ferrous metals, offering the possibility of applying finishes in any color with water- based paints. Allows the use of ordinary walls for attaching notes, announcements, lists or decorative magnets, without the need for holes or pins.

Ideal for interior surfaces, cement- based mortars , concrete, plaster, wood after priming.

Application Instructions

  • Apply to clean, dry and sound surfaces. The product is ready to use, but can be diluted with up to 10% water.
  • Apply a minimum of 2 layers and a maximum of 5 layers (the higher the number of layers, the stronger the magnetic effect will be).
  • Finish with one or more coats of MONTO plastic paint or synthetic enamel such as Montosintetic or Luxatin. If a smooth surface is required, sand before applying the finish with sandpaper no. 320. It is recommended to use a non-drip roller for application. Check the desired magnetic effect before applying the final coat.
  • For cement mortar, plaster and wood surfaces, apply to clean and dry surface, sand high gloss surfaces to open the mortar structure. Remove any foreign products and/or residues from the base.
  • Completely remove any old, peeling paint. On previously painted surfaces, check the strength and adhesion of the existing paint layer, as well as its compatibility, to avoid any incompatibilities. Remove dust and dirt before repainting.

The paint can be applied onconcrete, plaster, drywall, wood or chipboard, provided that the surface isclean, smooth, dry and properly primedDirect application to old glossy paints or wet surfaces is not recommended.

What type of magnets work on this paint?

For effective gripping, it is recommendedstrong neodymium magnetsSimple decorative magnets (e.g. refrigerator magnets) have little or no adhesion.

How many layers are needed for a good magnetic effect?

It is recommended to applyminimum 3 uniform layersto achieve effective magnetic strength. If a stronger hold is desired, 4–5 layers can be applied.

Can I apply another decorative paint over this?

Yes. It can be applied over the magnetic layerwashable paint or NanoMax chalkboard paint, without losing the magnetic function. It is important that subsequent layers are thin and do not completely isolate the active layer.
