Description

SurfaPaint™ Two Component Epoxy Paint is a two component solvent based epoxy paint.

It is specially designed for the protection of swimming pools, fountains and water tanks. It presents excellent resistance to fresh and salt water, chlorination products, acids, alkalis and sunscreen oils.

Due to the two-component composition, it creates a strong and at the same time flexible film that exhibits excellent behavior against surface shrinkage and expansion, high temperatures and abrasion and helps maintain a good color condition for longer.

It is self-priming and has strong adhesion to concrete or cement mortar surfaces. It is suitable for new pools or those that have been painted over time.

SurfaPaint™ Pool Epoxy Enamel is an epoxy coating for use on cement substrates such as pools, tanks, fountains where high impact and/or friction loads are observed.

Application Instructions

  • Recommended to apply at least 12 hours preventively Epoxy Primer before applying Surfadur to reduce the paint consumption rate and increase adhesion.
  • MIXING: Pour component B into component A and mix very well for 3 minutes with a drill at low speed. Mixing should be carried out both on the walls and the bottom of the container for proper homogenization.
  • Then, if necessary, dilute with NanoPhos Thinner A (5-10% v/v) depending on the application, desired workability and substrate absorption.
  • APPLICATION: Apply by roller, brush or airless spray. SurfaPaint™ Pool Epoxy Enamel dries superficially in 2-3 hours and can be repainted after 12 hours.
  • The drip time should not exceed 2 days. The pool can be filled with water 7 days after painting, when the paint has completely dried. These times vary depending on the relative humidity and ambient temperature. All tools and equipment should be cleaned immediately after use with NanoPhos Thinner A.
  • Sunlight and UV radiation will cause bleaching and discoloration over time. Premature bleaching can occur if the water pH is outside the range of 7.0-7.6. Early contact with water can cause premature discoloration, bleaching, and blistering. Superchlorinated water can cause a bleached appearance.

Note this:

Do not apply towet, dusty or contaminated surfaces with oil, grease or de-icing salts.
Not compatible withold oil-based paints, varnishes alkyd or glossy substrates, without prior stripping.
Not recommended for application attemperatures below +10°C or above +30°Cor in environments with relative humidity >85%.
Not to be applied onconcrete fresh(under 28 days) or on surfaces with humidity >4%.The time of use of the mixture is limited (30–40 min)– the product must be applied immediately after mixing.
Not intended forelastic, flexible or vibration-exposed surfaces strong.
